Slavonski Brod located on the east of Croatia,
in the region of Slavonia is the administrative center of
Brodsko - Posavska County and sixth city in Croatia by size.
Beside his strategic position (called by someone 'northern
key of Bosnia'), Slavonski Brod is important traffic and
transportation crossroads point. In last century it becomes
industrial center with metal and wood industry, agriculture
and food production.

10,000 years of history
Evidence found by archeologist shows this place
on the border of Sava River was habited in last 10,000 years.
2000 years ago here was Roman City Marsonia
( Marsvvnia ).
In King's Bela IV document from yr. 1244
was mentioned city name Brod and later
(in yr. 1871) Kaiser Franz Josef named town
Brod na Savi.
In the year 1934 city name
was last time changed to Slavonski Brod.
